Sorvita updates website and online shopping cart with improved experience for mobile users
Sorvita Health products announced the re-launch of the company’s website and online video resources. In an effort to provide an improved online experience for customers using mobile devices, the company has constructed a site with a new design that automatically adapts to the user’s device.
“We have seen a huge jump in traffic to our website from users on smart phones and tablet computers over the last year. We felt that our existing mobile experience could be improved to take advantage of a new responsive design approach,” said Mike Alderfer, CEO and President of Sorvita Health Products. “We believe our new site is much easier to navigate, use and shop with on today’s mobile devices, while still providing an excellent experience for customers using a desktop computer.” He continues, “We are pleased to have this platform in place going into the new year, so that customers purchasing our weight loss products will have the best buying experience possible no matter how they access the Internet.”
Responsive website design aims to provide a flexible approach that adjusts the website content based on the user’s platform as well as their screen size and orientation (portrait or landscape). Instead of providing entirely separate websites for desktop and mobile users, responsive design delivers the same website content to both platforms. The approach uses a mix of flexible grids and layouts, images and media queries to automatically switch the website design to accommodate for the user’s device.
Sorvita reports that traffic from mobile devices accounts for the fastest growing source of new visitors to the company website in 2013. In addition to online shopping for Sorvita’s weight loss supplements, the website includes numerous articles and video resources related to supplement ingredients, product use and benefits, as well as diet and weight loss tips. The company frequently adds new content to the website and has plans to expand it’s popular series of weight loss videos in 2014.
